Some Dangers

Ear Infections

One danger of having the flu is getting an ear infection. Everyone can get one but children are more vulnerable. This happens because of inflammation in the throat and inner ear. It also targets the inner ear. Childrens' ears hold an environment for bacteria since they have runny noses, always sneezing, and coughing and it builds up fluid in the ear.

Death

Seizures

Another danger of having the flu is getting a seizure. Children may get "febrile seizures" when they are suffering with the seasonal flu. Febrile seizures are rapid twitching/jerking movements that usually happen at 102 degrees fahrenheit or higher. But they only last a minute or two and are not permanent.
